Songwriter Showcase – Fri, April 1

Head over to Tuvalu Coffeehouse at 300 S. Main in Verona on Friday, April 1 at 7:30 pm for MSG’s Songwriter Showcase.  This month will feature one of the area’s most popular singer-songwriters, multiple MAMA award winner Beth Kille, who will play a full hour set.  Opening will be Showcase host John Duggleby and MSG’s John Jacobs, joining forces for a mini-set. Following these artists will be followed by an open mic for anyone who wants to perform their original compositions.  Don’t miss this one!

Special March Songwriters in the Round – 3/23 @ 7pm

Spring through March with Nancy Rost, Madison’s most prolific songwriter, as she leads our annual post-FAWM show. FAWM stands for February Album Writing Month when people from all over the world gather online to write 14 songs (or 14 and a half this Leap Year!) during the shortest month of the year. Nancy will bring two of her favorite local FAWM-ers to the Brink stage with her to perform some of their best new work. Join Nancy, John “Das Binky” Argentiero and John Crossman for a night of new and original, intelligent and surprising music. All that for only $5!

Song Critique – Wed, 3/16 @ 7

MSG’s monthly song critique happens this Wednesday, March 16th at 7 p.m. at Noodles & Company on University Avenue. Bring a lyric or song to play live or on a recording and get instant feedback from local songwriters. Listen to some new original songs and give your impressions. Cost is $5 for non-members, free for members and you can sign up on the spot with an annual membership of only $25. Incomplete, new or nearly new songs are encouraged.
