Songwriters in the Round – 5/26 @ 7:30 pm

Step out of the heat this Wednesday, May 26th and into the MSG Songwriters in the Round. It promises to deliver some great original music, plenty of cool beverages, and ample air conditioning for only 5 bucks.

Specifically, May’s SIR features newcomer John Argentiero, local songwriting staple Jim Schwall, and recent Song Showdown winner, Heather Abney.

Reminder on the time: From April through August, Songwriters in the Round (SIR) will start at 7:30 p.m. on the 4th Wed. of the month at The Brink Lounge. For more information, check out the Events page.

Song Critique – May 19th @ 7 p.m.

The next MSG critique is Wednesday, May 19th at 7 p.m. at Noodles & Co., 3600 University Avenue. If you have a song that you want some helpful feedback on, this is the group for you. Check out the Events page for more details. We hope to see you there!

Songwriter Night – Friday, May 14th @ 7:00

Rich Baumann hosts another local songwriter night on Friday, May 14th at 7:00 p.m. at Crossroads Coffeehouse in Cross Plains. Dave Schindele will be joining Rich and co-hosting.

This month’s featured songwriters are Paul Stiegler and John Duggleby.  There will be a sign-up for others to play a song and the evening typically ends with some jamming. You’re guaranteed an evening of good music, good coffee and good company. Cost is $5.

Songwriter Night, 5/13 @ 7 p.m.

Rich Baumann gathers songwriter friends to share songs in the relaxed atmosphere of Water House Foods in Lake Mills.  Patti Ecker and Gene Hersey will join Rich this month. There will also be an opportunity for others to share a song or two between sets, so bring your instrument if you’d like to participate. Cost is only $5.

Song Showdown, 5/12 @ 8:30

The next MSG Song Showdown is Wednesday, May 12th at 8:30 p.m. at The AlchemyJim Schwall hosts.

You must be an MSG member to compete in this event, but new members can sign up on the spot. Anyone can take part in the open mic.
