Songwriters in the Round, April 28th – new 7:30 time

By admin

The April 28th edition of Songwriters in the Round promises to be absolutely unique.. We don’t mean the fact that it’s all women. We mean the fact that it’s ALL KEYBOARDS!  Between the jazz-based music of Nancy Rost, the pop/rock influenced work of Hannah Busse, and the 19th Century Art Song style of Jen Logueflower, this SIR is one you won’t want to miss. We hear that they are planning some cross-overs and collaborations  as well.

Note the time change: From April through August, Songwriters in the Round (SIR) will start at 7:30 p.m. on the 4th Wed. of the month at The Brink Lounge. For more information, check out the Events page.

Recording Opportunity, April 24th

By admin

Randy’s Recording and MSG are pleased to offer another recording seminar for the performing songwriter.

Each songwriter records a basic demo (guitar/piano and voice), and the process is explained as you go. Then the group evaluates the demos for recordability and Randy chooses one to produce at the studio.

Every songwriter goes home with his or her recording, plus a compilation of the other demos done that day. This is the third time Randy’s and MSG have teamed up to offer this event, and the participants at the first two sessions were very pleased with the results.

Cost is $35 for MSG members, $60 for non-members (which includes a 1-year membership)
Date/time: Saturday, April 24th, 1-4 p.m.

Randy’s Recording and Production is located at:
4770 Gaston Cir., Rt 2
Cottage Grove, WI, 53527
