Songwriter Showcase – Fri, May 6th @ 7 pm

By admin

On Friday, May 6, at 7 pm (new start time), John Duggleby returns to the friendly confines of Tuvalu Coffeehouse in Verona to host his monthly MSG Songwriter Showcase.

After kick-starting the room with a few, John welcomes legendary guitar shredmeister John Masino, who has won a gazillion Madison Area Music Association (MAMA) Awards and was almost a member of Foghat (their loss, our gain).  Also appearing as guest artists are Steve and Kelly Brumm, smooth country crooners reminiscent of good ol’ duos like George & Tammy, Conway & Loretta, Porter & Dolly, Sonny & Cher (just kidding).

Following all this will be Dane County’s only originals-only open mic—if you wrote it, come and share it!  Unwind from the work week in Tuvalu’s living-room ambiance with your favorite beer, wine or caffeinated concoction.  Suggested donation $5, and a bargain at any price.

Songwriters in the Round – April 27th

By admin

MSG’s April Songwriters in the Round rocks on Wednesday, April 27th at 7:00 PM at The Brink Lounge, 701 E. Washington in Madison. Featured songwriters this month include Lisa V. White, Wolfgang Lochner and Jason Glomp. Cover is only $5.

Lisa V. White – This Madison native will rock out with original songs influenced by bands like Heart and Fleetwood Mac. She will get you movin’ and groovin’!

Wolfgang Lochner – Wolfgang has a unique vision when it comes to his tunes. His rockin’ point of view is one of the most exciting we’ve had on Songwriters in the Round. We’re thrilled to have him back.

Jason Glomp – Jason is new to our show. Like our other two performers he has a bent toward rock. He has many fine songs of his own and has spent some of the last ten years collaborating with Wolfgang. It’s going to be a one of a kind night!
